San Francisco LED Streetlights Replacement Interactive Map

This year, San Francisco will be replacing 18,500 of its City-owned cobra head streetlights with LEDs, saving the City energy, money, and maintenance – the new bulbs will use approximately half as much energy, and last four times as long. More information is available on the City’s website here, and an interactive map showing planned replacements and completions to date is available here.

Curious what other local governments in California are replacing street lights and finding savings? Click on the streetlighting tag in the tag cloud to the right, or click here.
