She notes several key findings from the factbook:
- U.S. economy grew by 10 percent since 2007, while energy consumption fell by 2.4 percent.
- Total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions hit a 25-year low in 2016, down 12 percent from their peak in 2007
- Electricity demand is down 1.2 percent from its 2014 peak, while GDP has grown by 4.2 percent
- The U.S. added 22 gigawatts of renewable generating capacity last year, setting a new record for annual renewable energy capacity additions.
