The Energy Data Access Committee (EDAC) will hold its quarterly meeting on March 25th in San Francisco. Interested parties are welcome to participate in this public meeting, either in person or online. Per the agenda, the meeting will cover a number of items that may be of interest to local governments – including addition of a second local government representative to the Committee, consistency in energy data, the impacts of aggregation of energy data on climate action planning.
The EDAC is a data access stakeholder group formed in 2014, pursuant to Commission Decision 14-05-016, which established requirements under which researchers and government agencies may request customer usage data, while maintaining customer privacy. The Decision also established quarterly meetings for the EDAC, to help guide the implementation of this data request process.
