The California Independent System Operator (CAISO) tracks the grid’s daily supply and demand including production from renewable resources (utility scale only, behind the meter PV generation impacts for example, are embedded in the demand estimate).
CAISO’s Today’s Outlook shows by hour electricity demand and forecasts, renewables production, and net demand. Net demand being the difference between demand and utility-scale renewable generation producing the famous “duck chart”. Springtime is perfect for duck watching when we have temperate weather keeping demand low but plenty of solar and wind generation.
