AB 2868, passed in 2016, requires PG&E, SCE, and SDG&E to propose programs and investments for a combined 500MW of behind-the-meter energy storage. The CPUC has now set forth the process for this to occur in their recent proposed decision (the decision also includes storage requirements for CCAs/ESPs).
