“The California Energy Commission awarded the Camptonville Community Partnership a grant of nearly $5 million last week to help pay for two major pieces of equipment for the planned biomass facility in the Yuba County foothills.
The 3-megawatt biomass facility is expected to cost up to $20 million to construct and will generate heat and power by breaking down forest debris, like dead trees, using a direct combustion boiler stream turbine generator.”
