Cannabis Growers Now Eligible for Agriculture Electricity Rate


Once they have a permit from their local jurisdiction and if 70 percent or more of their annual energy usage is ag related cannabis growers can receive a reduced agriculture electricity rate from PG&E.  Although gaining acceptance as a legitimate industry CPUC President Michael Picker has some concerns, citing the lack of data on potential impacts to the energy and water infrastructure.
