CEC Reviews Innovative Designs to Enhance California Schools, Move Toward Zero Net Energy

News

For a great example of how government and schools can support each other to find innovative solutions to saving energy, take a look at the designs presented at the 7x7x7: Design, Energy, Water initiative last week in Sacramento, and assessed by the California Energy Commission (CEC). The designs found solutions in a range of school building ages and types that would improve learning environments and save energy to move California’s building stock toward its zero net energy (ZNE) goals.

You can learn more about the case studies selected for design – schools in Oakland, San Diego, Orangevale, Los Angeles, Desert Hot Springs, Santa Barbara, and LA Community College – on 7x7x7’s website.
