The California Energy Commission Lead Commissioner for the 2016 Integrated Energy Policy Report Update (2016 IEPR Update) will conduct a workshop to discuss potential impacts on California’s transportation fuel production and distribution due to constraints on the operation of the Aliso Canyon natural gas storage facility. The workshop will look at potential impacts during the summer of 2016 resulting from reduced natural gas availability.
Commissioner Karen Douglas is the Lead Commissioner for the 2016 IEPR Update. Energy Commission Chair Robert B. Weisenmiller and Commissioner Janea A. Scott, Lead Commissioner for Transportation also plan to attend the workshop. A quorum of Commissioners from the Energy Commission and Commissioners from the California Public Utilities Commission may be in attendance, but no votes will be taken.
