City of Vista Uses Energy Roadmap to Identify Utility Rate Switch at Parks, Saving $99,600 Annually

By working with the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) to develop an Energy Roadmap, the City of Vista learned of a great opportunity to save nearly $100,000 per year: a utility rate switch based on demand and consumption at sports parks. Learn more in this SANDAG case study.

Those savings on utility bills represent more that local governments can achieve in their other programming. Quoted in the case study, the City of Vista’s Director of Public Works shared: “As a result of our partnership with SANDAG and the savings achieved through the Energy Roadmap Program, Vista has improved fiscal sustainability, is furthering investment into public safety and roadways as well as removing blight to improve the quality of life of Vista residents.”
