CPUC Approves Power Charge Indifference Amount (PCIA)

On December 17th, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) voted to allow PG&E to increase rates on customers receiving energy through Community Choice Aggregation (CCAs). The increase of the Power Charge Indifference Amount (PCIA) was proposed in PG&E’s 2016 Electric Procurement Cost Revenue Requirement Forecast.

Developments in analysis of the methodology for the PCIA, which will take place early 2016, can be tracked by signing up for updates on Proceeding A. 14-05-024 on the CPUC website.
