CURRENTS: Spring 2016 Featured Events
Coming Up: 7th Annual Statewide Energy Efficiency Collaborative (SEEC) Best Practices Forum June 15th-16th in Riverside, CA
With so many energy and sustainability topics to cover, this year’s SEEC Best Practices Forum will for the first time run a full two days – with additional pre-Forum events planned for June 14th (which include networking sessions and energy efficiency 101 materials). The theme of the Forum will be “Taking a Holistic Approach Towards a Sustainable Future.”
We’ve heard a lot of great feedback on what local government leaders loved, or wanted more of, in past Forums – and will be featuring new interactive networking-focused events and session structures, and covering a wide range of topics. From regulatory updates and new resources for going beyond code, to integrating energy efficiency planning and implementation across local government activities (housing, capital planning, etc.), as well as into other energy and sustainability activities – including electric vehicle program development, renewables and distributed energy resources (DERs) deployment. The Forum will also feature a session on leveraging cap and trade funding, and keynotes from energy leaders covering state agency updates, and new innovative programs.
Through the Statewide Energy Efficiency Collaborative, Forum registration is no-cost to local governments. The Forum is a great space for local governments to learn, problem solve, innovate, and network. Registration is open and space is limited, so register today!
