Program Manager I is part of a career series for Program Manager I and II. Under direction, performs a variety of professional level duties in the management and administration of assigned programs or program related automation systems; provides leadership and administrative oversight in the development, implementation, operations and analysis of designated programs; may collaborate with governmental agencies, other departments and community organizations to provide information, outreach, and advocacy for services; and does other related work as required.
The key responsibilities for this position include:
-Manage various assessments and evaluations of existing building conditions.
-Lead the ongoing Facility Condition Assessments (FCA); coordinating site visits, reports and analysis of findings.
-Monitor and report on changes to Facility Condition Index (FCI)
-Oversee the County’s ADA transition plan updates; prepare and recommend plan to improve facility ADA compliance.
-Develop and conduct Request for Proposals (RFP) to select consultants for facility planning programs and projects.
-Assist in the annual budget preparation for capital and maintence projects based on building assessments and conditions.
-Update and maintain County shared building plans used for space and cost allocation.
-Prepare and analyze reports using data from SAP and other databases.
-Estimate proposed capital project costs for budget submission.
-Help develop and maintain comprehensive building facility information for Countywide use.
-Work closely with other divisions in Public Works and other County departments.
-Create processes for improving facility capital improvement
-Manage architect and engineering consultants for facility programs.
-Facilitate and participate in various steering committee meetings.
-May train or mentor others in specific facility programs, answering questions, and or performing analysis/audits of projects or vendor proposals
