Funding: San Diego County Air Pollution Control District Carl Moyer Grant Program Is Now Open

News

The San Diego County Air Pollution Control District (District) is currently accepting applications for the Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards Attainment Grant Program (Carl Moyer Program).  The Carl Moyer Program achieves voluntary emission reductions from heavy-duty diesel engines through the use of incentive funding.  Approximately $3 million is available for eligible heavy-duty diesel emission reduction projects.  The District will accept applications from Friday, June 3 to Friday, July 8, 2016 at 5 PM.

NEW CALCULATOR TOOL:  The District website now includes an online calculator to allow applicants for equipment replacement projects to estimate the project’s cost-effectiveness, which is a key evaluation criterion.  The calculator does not apply to marine repowers or off-road engine repowers.  Use of the calculator is for estimation purposes only and does not guarantee a project will qualify for funding.  Click here to access the calculator.

Applications are now submitted online through the County’s Citizen Access system – https://publicservices.sdcounty.ca.gov/citizenaccess/.  Paper applications, fax, email, and incomplete submittals will not be accepted.  District staff are available to help applicants use the online application system by appointment during the application period.  Please contact the District at (858) 586-2600 or cleanairgrants@sdcounty.ca.gov if you have questions about the program, to request assistance with the online application process, or have a project that does not fit into the online application categories.
