Implementing Energy Optimization in Water Operations: Two Webinars for Water Utilities & Sanitation Districts

Public water agencies face unique resource challenges, including rising operational costs, aging infrastructure, degrading influent quality, and increasing demand. Energy optimization projects can provide customized solutions for reducing process energy consumption, facility operational costs, and equipment maintenance costs without sacrificing system reliability or effluent quality.

Free programs for designing and implementing energy optimization projects are available to California’s public water utilities. Join the Southern California Regional Energy Network for two webinars that will explore how you can leverage these no-cost resources to develop projects that significantly reduce energy bills, capture available incentive funding and better position your agency to overcome the rising challenges of providing community water services. Sessions dedicated to potable water and wastewater operations will allow for focus on energy strategies specific to the water system design. Join us on Tuesday, December 5th, for one or both sessions!

Participants will:

  • Learn best practices to strategically incorporate energy efficiency into specialized water operations, optimizing system performance while taking full advantage of incentive offerings through energy utilities.

  • Hear how savvy operators can maximize additional non-energy benefits by taking a pro-active approach to satisfying system requirements through controls and advanced sensor strategies, presented by energy experts with Lincus, Inc.

  • Have the opportunity to engage with peers in the water utility sector who have implemented energy efficiency within their systems and facilities.

  • Be introduced to the no-cost technical services of SoCalREN and WISETM programs, leveraged by the featured water districts to develop comprehensive energy project portfolios.
