The Local Government Commission has an immediate full-time position for a Climate Change Coordinator to support the CivicSpark Program as well as other LGC climate programs. CivicSpark is a statewide AmeriCorps program dedicated to building capacity for local governments to address climate change and water management needs. With 68 AmeriCorps members, and 9 Regional Staff, and impacting nearly 100 local governments annually CivicSpark works to provide professional development opportunities for members while creating a lasting impact addressing one of California’s most pressing issues.
