California Energy Commission staff will conduct a workshop to strengthen coordination with investor-owned electric utilities, local governments, and others to ensure Energy Commission funding for energy-related climate science research provides actionable results to inform decision-making in California’s electricity and natural gas sectors.
Chair Robert B. Weisenmiller will participate in the workshop. Chair Weisenmiller is the Energy Commission’s Lead Commissioner for Natural Gas and for Research and Development. A quorum of Commissioners from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and/or the Energy Commission may be in attendance, but no CPUC or Energy Commission votes will be taken.
