Marin Sustainability Tracker Shares and Encourages EE Progress

News

The Marin Sustainability Tracker is a new and easy-to-use online tool that shares progress made throughout Marin County on different community goals – including community- and household-level energy use, deployment of solar photovoltaics (PV) and other green energy, deployment of LED streetlights, and participation in energy efficiency and sustainability programs such as PACE programs and programs through Marin Clean Energy.

The Tracker was developed by the Marin Climate and Energy Partnership (MCEP), a partnership of 16 jurisdictions throughout Marin County that work together to gain efficiencies in implementation of climate action plan goals.

As covered by Sustainable City NetworkMCEP chair Cory Bytof sees room for the tool not just to serve as a tracker, but as a way to prompt further energy efficiency and action through friendly competition. “We’re thrilled to provide this tool and we hope it inspires people to take more action to meet our communities’ sustainability goals,” said Bytof.
