Moreno Valley and the SoCal Regional Energy Network Work Together to Uncover City Lighting and HVAC Upgrades for Energy and Cost Savings

News

The City of Moreno Valley and the Southern California Regional Energy Network (SoCalREN, or The Energy Network) have been working together to audit the City’s buildings and identify energy- and cost-saving upgrades that can be undertaken to save the City money using a fee-for-service model offered by The Energy Network.

To ensure energy-saving opportunities have a source of funding, the City has implemented a revolving energy fund. The establishment of such a fund was proposed as part of the City’s 2012 Energy Efficiency and Climate Action Strategy, and has been made possible by the cost savings realized through energy projects.
