PG&E Mobile App Pilot | Safety Reporting
CPUC Auditorium, San Francisco
Disclaimer: These demo simulation slides represent a rudimentary draft of where PG&E’s proposal stood as of the Dec. 3 workshop date.
The Safety and Enforcement Division of the CPUC, Risk Assessment Section, will host a workshop on an active safety rulemaking in conjunction with Pacific Gas & Electric Company. The rulemaking seeks to determine, among other things, whether utility customers are capable of credibly identifying and reporting hazards involving PG&E assets so as to reduce risk of ignition.
Workshop 1 will have PG&E staff present and explain:
- envisioned pilot software attributes and purpose;
- new rules and guidance the utility believes are necessary and helpful to enable the pilot and its success;
- the pilot rollout plan including timing and duration, geographic and demographic targets and sample size, and marketing and media support;
- existing examples of utility safety reporting web platforms, and any aspects of the safety-reporting pilot project which may not entirely comport with CPUC directives but which may be desirable and necessary.
Ample time will be reserved for program Q&A. Intervenors, stakeholders, and the public are encouraged to attend and provide perspective and input.
