REEL Regulations Modifications Workshop: July 19, 2017

News

The Residential Energy Efficiency Loan (REEL) Assistance Program is the first of the California Hub for Energy Efficiency Financing (CHEEF) Pilot Programs to launch. It offers a loan loss reserve to mitigate lender risk in providing access to financing for residential energy efficiency projects in investor-owned utility territories.

The proposed modifications seek to address the needs of program stakeholders and facilitate increased program participation. The modifications clarify and update definitions; project and loan eligibility requirements; enrollment data requirements; loss reserve account structure; quality assurance standards; and information security disclosures.

CAEATFA (California Alternative Energy and Advanced Transportation Financing Authority) will be holding a workshop and webinar on the proposed modifications from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (or until public comments and/or questions are concluded) on July 19, 2017, at the Jesse M. Unruh building on 915 Capitol Mall, Room 110, Sacramento, CA 95814. To attend the workshop in person, please email cheef@treasurer.ca.gov with your name, organization and phone number. To attend the workshop by webinar, please follow this link.

Stakeholders and interested parties are encouraged to submit written comments to cheef@treasurer.ca.gov by 12 PM PST on July 27, 2017. For more information on the Residential Energy Efficiency Loan Assistance Program, please visit the REEL page of the CAEATFA website.

The proposed regulation text will be posted on the REEL page of the CAEATFA website the week of the workshop.
