Renewable energy programs helping distressed areas of California with quality jobs

As reported by the Los Angeles TimesCalifornia’s push to develop more renewable energy, including solar and wind power, is creating well-paying jobs that are concentrated in economically distressed parts of the state, according to a new study released Tuesday.

The study finds that 25,500 blue-collar job-years have been added in clean energy between 2002-2015, with the greatest gains in Kern, San Bernardino, Riverside and Imperial Counties. Learn more from the Los Angeles Times here.
