Meeting of the Minds is looking for a Part-time Research Associate to help manage and curate our live events, identify emerging trends, conduct interviews with potential speakers and innovators, write reports, and build our programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in urban planning/policy, sustainability, and events, as well as a talent for research and writing. The Research Associate will also assist with grant proposal writing, project management, and managing relationships with partners and sponsors.
Candidates must have experience navigating the public, private, non-profit, academic, and philanthropic sectors, as well as a deep understanding of the interrelationships between the technology industry, civic technology ecosystem, and the relevant communities/networks interested in the future of sustainable and smart cities.
Meeting of the Minds employees work remotely, and interested candidates must have demonstrated success in non-traditional, digital work environments. This position reports to the Executive Director and is 20 hours per week. Occasional travel for conferences.
