Water related energy use accounts for approximately 19% of California’s electricity usage, emphasizing the opportunity to conserve energy through water efficiency measures. This breakout session from the 4th annual Statewide Energy Efficiency Collaborative (SEEC) Forum provides an overview of the water- energy connection, utility programs and local case studies, including Windsor’s on-bill financing Pay As You Save program and the West Basin Municipal Water District’s water energy programs.
