Greentech Media reviews Google’s Project Sunroof since it’s launch two years ago. The website now includes 60 million rooftops across the country.
They expect this resource to be helpful to not only consumers but also for contractors, researchers, and even utilities themselves. Additionally, they find that California accounts for a large portion of the installed solar in the US, though only two cities, Los Angeles and San Diego, are on Google’s top 10 list of cities with the most solar potential.
