The City of Visalia’s Climate Action Plan was released last month. Highlighted are the City’s existing accomplishments – including compressed natural gas and hybrid vehicles, HVAC retrofits in municipal buildings, LED streetlighting installs, and solar photovoltaics at the Visalia airport – and plans for further energy reductions, including further lighting upgrades, municipal solar program expansion, and promotion and utilization of programs such as SCE’s Small Business Direct Install Program, SoCal Gas’s Weatherization Program, and Energy Upgrade California.
