The primary purpose of the Zero Waste Program Coordinator is to provide administrative and strategic program leadership for a wide range of waste management and related sustainability initiatives having a broad impact on Facilities and the University as a whole.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, research, development, implementation, and oversight of: recycling, composting, and other waste reduction programs; educational outreach and behavioral change initiatives; waste management service contract administration; invoice processing and waste management budget forecasting and planning; waste management program design and process improvement; sustainability rating and certification programs for waste management; and public relations, publicity, and marketing of these efforts.
