California Electric Homes Program (CalEHP)

The California Electric Homes Program (named in statutes as the Building Initiative for Low-Emissions Development Program Phase 2 by Assembly Bill 137) provides incentives for the construction of all-electric market-rate residential buildings and installation of energy storage systems to encourage deployment of near-zero-emission building technologies.

The California Electric Homes Program provides technical assistance and financial incentives to residential developers and builders constructing new, market-rate homes with all-electric appliances and equipment. The program supports all-electric new construction practices, drives energy savings, and supports California’s advanced energy efficiency policy goals.
