The California Energy Commission’s Gas Research and Development (R&D) Program invests in technologies and solutions that help the gas sector support California’s energy and environmental goals. 

These projects are geared toward improving entrepreneurial support; resiliency, health, and safety; building decarbonization; gas system decarbonization; industrial and agricultural innovation; and transportation in California.

While no solicitations are currently active, new funding opportunities may arise in the future.
