Community Environmental Council
CEC and its Central Coast partners offer a number of individual assistance and community training programs to accelerate transportation decarbonization on the Central Coast. Programs include:
- Evs for Everyone / Evs Para Todos: Personalized electric vehicle (EV) purchase guidance – from exploring options to understanding charging and navigating incentives – to make EV ownership accessible and affordable
- Electric Ride 805 : Central Coast coalition promoting clean, accessible transportation options — from EVs to e-bikes and public transit — through education, resources, and community engagement
- EV Charging Assistance : Helping community members understand their EV charging options and connecting them with the most relevant incentives and resources, tailored to their home or business to make charging easier, more affordable, and accessible.
- Healthy Refrigeration Education & Assistance: Energy-efficient refrigeration education and guidance for California businesses, food rescue organizations, and nonprofits to lower energy costs, extend the life of perishable goods, and promote local, California fresh foods
- Central Coast Community Resilience Hubs Accelerator: Accelerating the retrofits and mobilizations of neighborhood-level centers that serve residents who are most vulnerable or at high risk during extreme weather and disaster events such as wildfires, poor air quality, extreme heat, and flooding.
CEC also offers technical assistance to our agricultural communities on the Central Coast to accelerate the adoption of climate-smart agriculture practices that draw down excess carbon from the atmosphere. Programs include:
- Central Coast AgLink: Regional platform connecting farmers, ranchers, and land stewards to climate-smart agriculture incentives and resources.
