Purpose:
THE CALL FOR APPLICATIONS IS NOW OPEN!
The second notice of funds available for the REAP 2.0 Lasting Affordability Program under the Regional Early Action Planning Grant (REAP 2.0) framework is now open. Until Jan. 20, 2026, eligible organizations in the SCAG region can submit applications for a share of $20 million to support established housing trust funds and catalyst funds. These trusts are meant to expand finance tools and lending products that create supply, choice, and ongoing affordability through a mix of housing types and price ranges, including those for households at or below area median income. Funding will be awarded using the evaluation criteria in the application. The highest ranked applicants who have not previously received funding through the Lasting Affordability Program will be considered for awards before applicants who have previously received funding. A contingency list will be created for all complete applications evaluated in this round but not awarded funds. The list will be used to consider additional awards if additional funding becomes available through the REAP 2.0 Program. The maximum award is $5 million. Partial awards can be considered at SCAG’s discretion.
