Rural Electric Vehicle Charging 2.0 (REV 2.0)

This is a competitive grant solicitation. The California Energy Commission’s (CEC’s) Clean Transportation Program announces the availability of up to $10,000,000 in grant funds for projects that will install light-duty electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in rural communities. The purpose of the Rural Electric Vehicle Charging 2.0 (REV 2.0) Solicitation is to:

Demonstrate replicable and scalable business and technology models that can drive EV charging stations to serve rural EV drivers.

Provide convenient, reliable charging for rural residents and people traveling through rural communities

Increase EV adoption in rural areas, especially in low-income or disadvantaged communities.
