Grid capacity and interconnection constraints limit new clean-energy deployment. Aging and undersized grid infrastructure—at both the distribution and transmission levels—creates long, unpredictable interconnection queues, prevents full use of local solar generation, and slows or blocks new clean-energy, electrification, and DER projects from coming online.
